The Carriers We Work With — and Why Independence Matters
As an independent broker, we are not employed by any insurance company. We represent a broad portfolio of carriers so we can compare plans side by side and recommend the one that fits your situation — not the one that pays us the most to sell.
Michigan's Leading Medicare Carriers, All in One Place
We work with the carriers that matter most to Michigan residents. That includes major national names and regional plans with strong local networks.
This list reflects our current carrier relationships and is updated as new options become available. Carrier availability can vary by county and zip code.
What It Means to Work with an Independent Broker
Captive agents work for one company. We don't.
When you call us, we pull quotes from multiple carriers at once. We compare premiums, out-of-pocket limits, drug formularies, and provider networks — then walk you through what the numbers actually mean for your situation.
You get a recommendation based on your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget. Not on a sales quota.
- We represent multiple carriers, not one
- We shop the market on your behalf at no cost to you
- We are compensated by carriers at the same rate regardless of which plan you choose
- Our ongoing support doesn't end when enrollment does — we're here for questions, billing issues, and Annual Enrollment Period reviews year after year
Have Questions About a Specific Carrier or Plan?
We're happy to pull a comparison for you at no charge. A conversation takes about 20 minutes and we'll walk through your options clearly — no pressure, no jargon.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Carrier Relationships
Do you charge a fee to compare carriers on my behalf?
No. Our services are free to you. We are compensated directly by the insurance carriers when you enroll in a plan. That compensation is set by the carrier and does not vary based on which plan you choose — so our recommendation is based entirely on what fits you best.
Can you help me if I already have coverage through one of these carriers and want to review it?
Yes. We review existing coverage during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 through December 7 each year) and any time a Special Enrollment Period applies. If a better option exists, we'll find it. If your current plan is still the right fit, we'll tell you that too.
Do you work with carriers outside this list?
Our carrier portfolio reflects what's available and competitive in Michigan. We periodically add carriers as the market changes. If you're asking about a specific plan or company, call us and we'll let you know whether we represent them — and if not, what comparable options we can offer.
Is one carrier better than the others for Michigan residents?
It depends entirely on where you live, which doctors you see, and what medications you take. Priority Health tends to perform well in West Michigan. BCBS has strong statewide reach. UnitedHealthcare and Humana offer broad networks that work well for people who travel. There is no single best carrier — only the best carrier for your situation.
What if my preferred doctor isn't in-network with any of the carriers you represent?
That's an important finding, and we'd rather surface it before enrollment than after. If your physician is out-of-network across Medicare Advantage plans, we'll discuss whether a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan — which works with any provider who accepts Medicare — is a better fit for you.
